UEFA Super Cup 2003 Champions, final match and achievements

UEFA Super Cup 2003 was the 28th UEFA Super Cup, an annual association football match contested by the winners of the previous season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup competitions. AC Milan qualified for the 2003 UEFA Super Cup by defeating Juventus in the 2003 UEFA Champions League Final, while Porto earned their place by beating Celtic in the 2003 UEFA Cup Final. Milan secured a 1–0 victory in the Super Cup match.
After the game, Porto’s manager, José Mourinho, expressed confidence in his team’s future, saying, “We leave here convinced we can go into the UEFA Champions League with the hope and certainty we can compete with any team.” Porto later validated this belief by going on to win the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League.
