FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2024 Champions, matches, achievement

The 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, officially named the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2024 presented by Aramco, was the first edition of this annual club football tournament organized by FIFA. It featured six teams, each representing the winners of their respective continental championships from the previous season, competing in a single-elimination format.
The tournament took place from 22 September to 18 December 2024. The first two matches were hosted at the stadiums of the participating teams, while the final three matches, including the final, were played in Qatar at a neutral venue.
This competition largely retained the structure of the previous annual FIFA Club World Cup, which was expanded and reformatted into a quadrennial event with a larger number of teams, aside from changes in the venues for the early rounds.

FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2024 format
The details of the tournament were approved by the FIFA Council on 17 December 2023, with the format officially confirmed on 20 September 2024.
First Round: The 2023–24 AFC Champions League winners hosted the 2024 OFC Champions League winners in a match titled the “FIFA African–Asian–Pacific Cup Play-off.”
Second Round: The 2023–24 CAF Champions League winners hosted the winner of the first round, competing for the “FIFA African–Asian–Pacific Cup.” Simultaneously, in Doha, Qatar, the 2024 Copa Libertadores winners faced the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup winners in a match called the “FIFA Derby of the Americas.”
Play-off: The winners of the second-round matches clashed in Doha for the “FIFA Challenger Cup.”
Final: The FIFA Challenger Cup winner faced the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League winners in the final held in Lusail, Qatar.
