EFL (Carabao) Cup 2024-25 champions, matches and scorers

EFL Cup 2024-25 was the 65th season of the English Football League Cup. Sponsored by Carabao Energy Drink, it was officially known as the Carabao Cup. The competition was open to all clubs from the Premier League and the English Football League (EFL). The winner of the tournament earned a spot in the play-off round of the 2025–26 UEFA Conference League.
Liverpool, the defending champions after defeating Chelsea in the previous season’s final, were unsuccessful in retaining their title. They were beaten by Newcastle United in this season’s final. This victory marked Newcastle United’s first-ever EFL Cup triumph and their first domestic trophy since winning the 1954–55 FA Cup.
