Coupe de France 2009–10 marked the 93rd edition of France’s most prestigious cup competition, organized by the French Football Federation. As in previous years, the tournament was open to all clubs in French football, including those from overseas departments and territories such as Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Réunion. The final was held on 1 May 2010 at the Stade de France. Guingamp entered the competition as the defending champions, having triumphed over Rennes 2–1 in the previous season’s final. The tournament’s winner earned qualification to the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League, entering at the Playoff round stage. Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain emerged victorious in this edition, claiming a narrow 1–0 win over AS Monaco in the final. This victory secured PSG’s eighth Coupe de France title overall and their third of the 21st century, further solidifying their stature in French football.
