Club World Cup 2012

Club World Cup 2012 was the ninth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, a FIFA-organized tournament between the winners of the six continental confederations as well as the host nation’s league champions. The tournament was hosted by Japan.
Defending champions Barcelona did not qualify for the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup after being eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League by the eventual winners, Chelsea.
Corinthians claimed their second Club World Cup title in 2012, becoming the last South American and non-European team to win the tournament. They secured a 1–0 victory over Al Ahly in the semi-finals and went on to defeat Chelsea by the same scoreline in the final.
